League

The Kids Bike League is the Swiss Ski School‘s summer offer! In the Kids Bike League, experienced mountain bike guides will introduce you to the joys of mountain biking in a fun way. Year after year, your skills will be trained and improved. Soon you’ll be able to accompany your parents on their mountain bike outings.

How does it work?

The Kids Bike League is divided into three levels: Marmot, Chamois and Ibex. At each level, children learn to use their bikes according to their age and ability. Find out where you stand below !

Chamois

I’m 3 or 4 years old and I’ve already had my first experiences with a bike without pedals or a mountain bike. I’d like to improve my skills in a fun way.

Objective : my bike becomes my best friend.

Chamois

I’m between 5 and 7 years old and I’m safe on my bike. I’d like to improve my skills still further and dare to take on bigger obstacles.

Objective : I already enjoy cycling, especially on easy terrain.

Bouquetin

I’m between 8 and 12 years old and I ride my bike almost blindly. I’d like to improve my skills on medium-difficulty trails. I have a good grasp of all the obstacles and can control my speed to suit the terrain.

Goal : I can already accompany mum and dad on their cycling trips.

How does it work?

Downhill Academy is divided into two levels: Rookies and Advanced. To find out where you stand, find all the information below !

Rookies

Level: I know how to mountain bike, but I’m not yet comfortable on the greens/blues. I’ve already taken lessons with a teacher.

Objective: good position and good understanding of braking, work on the basics of trajectories, get comfortable on the greens and blues. Find fluidity and optimise safety.

Equipment required: DH / full-suspension / enduro bike, full-face helmet, gloves, knee pads, back protection.

Advanced

Level: I’m a regular downhill mountain biker, I can jump a step up to 1 metre, I can go down almost anywhere.

Objective: Work on and optimise: position, braking, pedal position, jumping technique and clearance. Be able to ride down red runs with ease. Find fluidity and optimise safety.

Equipment required: DH / full-suspension / enduro bike, full-face helmet, gloves, knee pads, back protection.
